    VACS® Gen2

Percutaneous transluminal valvuloplasty catheters (PTV) for TAVI and paediatric cardiology, available as VACS® II Gen2, VACS® II Slender Gen2 and VACS® III Gen2.

The OSYPKA VACS® Gen2 family represents the latest generation of percutaneous transluminal valvuloplasty catheters (PTV). Designed for the dilatation of heart valves and adjacent vascular structures, they combine German precision engineering with a highly stable coaxial architecture.

Their over-the-wire design (OTW) and high-performance materials support precise positioning and reliable handling in adult and paediatric interventional procedures.

    Features

    • Coaxial architecture for high stability.
    • Over-the-wire design (OTW) to facilitate advancement and positioning.
    • Rapid inflation and deflation for greater procedural control.
    • Atraumatic, radiopaque distal tip to support precise positioning.
    • Optimised balloon length to reduce ventricular interaction.
    • Transparent catheter shaft, facilitating visual detection of bubbles and possible reflux.
    • Platinum-iridium radiopaque markers for clear balloon visualisation.
    • Wide range of balloon diameters and lengths.
    • Kink protection through colour coding and an improved Y-connector.

    Benefits

    • Solutions suited to TAVI pre-dilatation and post-dilatation procedures.
    • Low-profile options to support vascular access with smaller introducers.
    • Slender Gen2 option for 7 F transradial access with balloon diameters of up to 22 mm.
    • Navigability and positioning precision in complex anatomies.
    • High-pressure option for calcified valves or resistant lesions.
    • Range of configurations to suit different anatomies and clinical requirements.

    Other data

    VACS® II Gen2

Indicated for vascular and cardiac stenoses, particularly for the valvuloplasty of non-calcified or moderately calcified valves and TAVI pre-dilatation in favourable anatomies requiring control and precision.

Its ultra-low profile allows the use of smaller introducers. It offers high navigability, positioning precision and balloon conformability adapted to less rigid anatomies.

    VACS® II Slender Gen2

Indicated for vascular and cardiac stenoses, particularly for TAVI pre-dilatation through 7 F transradial access and for procedures requiring a reduced system profile without compromising balloon diameter.

Available in diameters from 18 to 22 mm, its compact design supports crossing and navigability and may help reduce vascular trauma in patients with limited or high-risk access.

    VACS® III Gen2

Indicated for vascular and cardiac stenoses, particularly in severely calcified valves or resistant lesions, as well as for TAVI pre-dilatation and post-dilatation when high-pressure dilatation is required.

Its reinforced balloon is designed to provide mechanical resistance and efficient force transmission in complex dilatations. It is also indicated for post-dilatation in cases of underexpansion or paravalvular leak.

    Y-connector

The improved Y-connector, together with colour coding and kink protection, provides comfortable handling and reliability suited to the specific requirements of TAVI procedures.
