Unlike traditional open-circuit systems, Mr. Frosty uses a completely closed and hermetically sealed hydraulic circuit that eliminates air-liquid exchange and prevents the aerosolisation of contaminated micro-droplets. This design addresses the microbiological safety recommendations of international organisations such as the CDC, FDA, and ECDC, particularly regarding the risk of contamination by Mycobacterium chimaera, M. abscessus, and other non-tuberculous mycobacteria associated with conventional systems.

The system offers thermal precision of ±0.2 °C and temperature stabilisation in less than 2 minutes, allowing optimal thermal conditions to be maintained during extracorporeal circulation (ECC), ECMO, and ECLS procedures.

Its operating range between +5 °C and +42 °C allows the system to be used in profound hypothermia, normothermia, and intermediate thermal control protocols required in modern cardiovascular surgery.

Designed for cardiovascular perfusion teams, the system incorporates high-precision sensors, intelligent thermal control algorithms, and digital integration capabilities with the Quantum platform, allowing for advanced monitoring, full procedural traceability, and subsequent clinical analysis.
